Reply to an App Review rejection
Paste Apple’s message. ReviewNotes finds each guideline it cites, tells you whether Apple’s own guidance says to reply, resubmit or appeal, and writes a reply draft with the details App Review usually needs.
It stays in your browser: not uploaded, not saved, not sent to analytics.
The example is a made-up message in the style of App Review, for demonstration only.
Reply or resubmit?
Apple’s review-status page lists when a new submission isn’t needed. The first case is the most common one:
“App Review requested more information and there are no other issues to resolve. Instead, you can reply directly to the message in App Store Connect. Resubmitting starts a new review, after which App Review can no longer reply to your previous message.”
“Issues can be resolved by revising metadata or making server-side adjustments, such as providing or activating demo credentials. Reply to App Review in App Store Connect once the required changes have been made.”
A new build is the right move when the problem is in the build:
“The submission is rejected for an issue in the build and you’ve fixed it. Upload the new build and submit that version. This starts a full review of the new build.”
“Don’t resubmit until you’ve resolved every issue identified by App Review. Resubmitting with unresolved issues delays review and results in the same outcome.”
How to send the reply
In App Store Connect: Apps › your app › the unresolved-issues link at the top › Resolve next to the submission › Reply to App Review. Type or paste the reply, use Attach File for screenshots or documents, then click Reply. Apple lists the required role as Account Holder, Admin, or App Manager.
“You can correspond with Apple, and include attachments, such as screenshots and supporting documents, until you resubmit to App Review.”
If you disagree
“Before filing an appeal, reply to the rejection, removal, or termination message you received in App Store Connect and provide clarification about the issue. If this clarification is not sufficient to resolve the issue, proceed with filing an appeal.”
“Only submit one appeal per rejected or removed app. If an app's rejection or removal message cites multiple guideline violations, address all of them in one appeal.”
Apple’s guidance is to cite the specific guideline and explain point by point how the app meets it. Its example of a complete appeal names the guideline, says where the demo account and setup steps are, and mentions screenshots; its incomplete example just asks for another look.
